Escuela de Música de Cijuela

Los antecedentes de esta Escuela de Música son del año 2005, cuando, de la mano de D. Javier Prados García se formó la que será la Banda Municipal de Música de Cijuela. Una vez ya consolidada, y ante la necesidad de aportar una enseñanza más seria a sus componentes, en el año 2007 nace la Escuela de Música de Cijuela.
Desde entonces, cada año viene aumentando su profesorado pasando de 2 a 8 profesores en su plantilla, todos ellos profesionales. También se han ampliado las asignaturas hasta llegar al nivel de Grado Elemental y ampliando a Grado Profesional, incluyendo también un curso especial Preparatorio para acceder a Grado Profesional.

Desde un principio, se impartían las especialidades propias de banda incluyendo en el curso 2012/2013 la de piano y en el curso 2013/2014 canto y guitarra.
Todo esto ha contribuido a que el número de alumnos matriculados aumentara progresivamente hasta llegar a los 60.
En su programa cuenta con dos audiciones, la de Navidad y la de Fin de Curso, las cuales son clausuradas por la Banda Juvenil de la EMC a la cual, acceden los alumnos a partir de 2º curso y que este año por primera vez, actuará en el Certamen Juvenil de Bandas de Cijuela que se celebra en el mes de julio.
